The East Asia Research Forum (EARF) in an interdisciplinary group that brings together faculty and graduate students from across Northwestern whose research and teaching focuses on East Asia, broadly defined to include Japan, Korea, China, Taiwan, Inner Asia, Southeast Asia, and the Western Pacific region. Members are affiliated with the departments of Anthropology, History, Comparative Literature, Asian Languages and Cultures, Political Science, Religious Studies, Art History, Radio/Television/Film, and Communications. Events organized or sponsored by EARF include seminars, speaker series, film screenings, workshops, and community outreach.
